Saint Laurent Rive Droite New York presents a selection of works by American artist Rachel Rossin, curated by Anthony Vaccarello, on view from May 12 to July 15.
Rachel Rossin is a New York-based transdisciplinary artist, painter, and computer programmer whose work examines the phenomenological impacts of technology on human autonomy and sovereignty. Working in computer programming from the age of five, she creates interactive digital environments where abstraction, figuration, and hybrid spaces converge, questioning the boundaries between body, machine, and perception.
Across her hybrid practice, Rachel Rossin develops new vocabulary for an understanding of volition and control in a technologically mediated age.
Her work is in the permanent collections of the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and The Norton Museum of Art.
She has been commissioned by and exhibited at prestigious institutions around the world, including Kiasma (Helsinki), K11 (Shanghai), KW Institute of Contemporary Art (Berlin) and The New Museum (New York), among many others. Rachel Rossin is represented by Magenta Plains gallery in New York.
